let us become persistent facilitators of learning
October 8, 2018Developing a Growth mind-set
October 22, 2018Like most, from our families and lineage, icons and great achievers have emerged and contributed greatly to the development of our societies, cultures and mankind as a whole. Professor Justice Vincent Cyril Richard Arthur Charles Crabbe or V.C.R.A.C. Crabbe is one of such icons. Reflecting on his life, I was amazed by his achievements. Achievements we can attribute, not only to how long he lived but also how early he started. His impact on society was manifested by the personalities at his burial and tributes written in his memory and to his honour by current and past presidents and other senior statesmen and leaders from all walks of life.
As I reflect on his achievements and compared him to other great achievers of our time, the book “GRIT” came to mind. It was obvious that like the others he had GRIT, he had focus, he was disciplined and committed to his course and he persistently worked at it without wavering or faulting. This is the one lesson we can walk away with from his life.
Thank You
Peter M Crabbe
